Bzzz bzzz bzzz! The bees in Green Valley are busy - this summer has an especially bountiful lot of flowers just waiting to be pollinated - and it's intentional. Hungry for some homemade honey, the gnomes have decided to take up beekeeping. Come see what the buzz is about!
Players level 10 and up can now purchase the bee garden on the map for 100,000gB. Your personal apiary, the bee garden is home to a number of hives that you can unlock; unlike a regular garden, you can't plant anything here. Of course, there's a brand-new quest series, which will allow you to unlock more hives and new types of honey! Just talk to the Quest Bee to get started!
- To start off, you'll be able to unlock two beehives. As you progress through the quest series, you'll be able to purchase a total of 24 beehives.
Each beehive has its own specialization which you can choose when you unlock it (in the beginning you'll only have strawberry blossom honey). The specialization determines which blossoms these bees will visit, and in turn which type of honey they'll make. As you progress through the bee quest series, you can unlock a total of 24 different types of honey.
A beehive's specialization can be changed for 1,000gB with a 2 day cooldown. Of course you can pay Coins to skip the cooldown if you need to change more often.
Beehives can be upgraded individually by clicking on the star over the beehive - this increases the amount of honey that particular hive will collect!
To start collecting honey, simply send out a swarm of bees by clicking on the orange button on the hive. You'll be able to determine how thoroughly you want the bees to do their job; the more thorough they are, the more honey they will collect, however, they'll also need to rest longer afterwards.
When you send out your bees, the honey will be instantly collected in the honey spinner:
Each type of honey ends up in a comb of its own in the honey spinner.
Once a comb is filled completely, you can fill it into a jar. This gives you experience points, and of course, the honey, which you can now sell to the customers in the bee garden, or on the marketplace.
Please note: Any surplus honey will be lost! So if you collect more honey than you need to fill the comb, any excess will not carry over!
- So now the honey's flowing! But you can make your apiculture business even more efficient by enlisting the services of the Booster Bee and the Beekeeper Gnome for Coins.
The Booster Bee will allow you to decrease the time your bees need to rest, increase the honey yield or increase experience points received for filling honey into jars; the Beekeeper Gnome will make sure to instantly fill honey into jars as soon as a comb is full, so that you don't lose any excess honey.
Enjoy the game!
